Style Guide: Which pants suit you?

Holla! Here's the 2nd leg of my Style Guide.

Yes, I already posted the first part which is about choosing the dress that best fits your body type. But if you haven't read it, just click this.

Now, I'm going to share to you a guide in choosing your pants.

Again, let's start with "emphasizing" and "de-emphasizing" your body features in wearing pants.

Here's a chart that will be our guide:

-------------------------

Bermuda Shorts

Bermuda shorts, also known as walking shorts or dress shorts,
are a particular type of short trousers.
The hemcan be cuffed or un-cuffed, around 1 inch above the knee.

Capris
Capri pants (also known as Capris, Crop pants, long or three-quarter pants, and clam diggers)
are mid-calf pants worn in warm weather. Variants end below the knee and calf.

Culottes
Culottes were normally closed and fastened about the leg, to the knee,
by either buttons, a strap and buckle, or by a draw-string.

Jumpsuit
Jumpsuit originally referred to the utilitarian one-piece garments used byparachuters/skydivers,
but has come to be used as a common term for any one-piece garment with sleeves and legs.

Pants
Pants are an item of clothing worn from the waist to the ankles, covering both legs separately.

Shorts
Shorts are a garment worn over their pelvic area, circling the waist and splitting to cover the upper part of the legs, sometimes extending down to knee but not covering the entire length of the leg.

Again, that's all for today.
Watch out for my next post soon, and it's all about the specific body types. :)

Style Guide: Which dress suits you?

"I love dresses because they’re so lazy and require such little effort
yet when you wear them people think you actually attempted to look nice."

Maybe you observed that I love wearing dress.
In most of OOTDs, I am wearing a dress.
Well, I just love dresses! Haha.

I just finished my Personality Development class and our last module is about dressing up.
I really enjoyed and learned a lot from that module.
So I want to share to you some of the tips that I learned. :)

I'll start with "emphasizing" and "de-emphasizing" your body features in wearing a dress.

Here's a chart that will be our guide:

In my PD class, they weren't able to provide us the photos of the dresses.
Honestly, I do not know what an a-line, blouson, etc. dresses look like.
So I researched for some photos.

(Thanks to google, wikipedia and some online stores! )

A-Line Dress

An A-line dress is a dress that is fitted at the hips and gradually widens towards the hem,
giving the impression of the shape of a capital letter A.

Blouson Dress

A blouson or blouse dress is a dress that is drawn tight at the waist,
causing it to blouse out and hang over the waistband.

Empire Dress

Empire is a style in women's clothing in which the dress has a fitted bodice ending just below the bust,
giving a high-waisted appearance, and a gathered skirt which is long and loosely fitting
but skims the body rather than being supported by voluminous petticoats.

Low-waist Dress

Low-waist dress is a dress intended to sit low on, or below, the hips.

Princess Dress

Princess dress is a style of women’s clothing characterized by garments
that are closely fitted to the waistline, which is unbroken by a seam.

Shift Dress

Shift dress is a short, sleeveless dress in a simple style with little detailing.

Wrap Dress

A wrap dress is a dress with a front closure formed by wrapping one side across the other,
and knotting the attached ties that wrap around the back at the waist or fastening buttons.
This forms a V-shaped neckline and hugs a woman's curves.

So that's all for today.
Watch out for more tips! :)
