Qizia Cafe @ Marikina City

Last, October 28, my girl friends and I celebrated Blaine's birthday.
We can't decide where to eat, we were all craving for Italaian foods, pizza and pasta!!!!
So they both suggested to try Qizia Cafe,
since we all reside at Marikina City.

It is located at SSS Village, where I live, but I am not really familiar with this place.

PASTA

Bolognese - P 120.00

Creamy Cheese - P 125.00

PIZZA
Grilled Chicken Pizza - P 155.00

DESSERTS

Blueberry Cheesecake - P 120.00

Everything looks so yummy?
Yes, they are!

With my girl friends, Nikki and Blaine. :)
Likes:
Affordable. If you are a pizza and pasta lover but has a tight budget, well, I recommend this.
Large serving. Who doesn't want to enjoy a large serving of your favorite Italian foods?
The foods are all delicious. For a vegetable-hater like me, I really enjoyed the pasta eventhough they contain veggies.
I really really love the desserts! Oh so yummy!

Dislikes:
Slow service. They served the dessert first before the pizza and it took almost 30 mins. before they gave the pizza.
No WIFI. I really love sharing everything I do on Facebook and Twitter. Sorry about that. Hahaha.
Common CR. I prefer restaurants that have separate comfort rooms for the guys and girls.
The ambiance isn't very good compared to other Italian restaurants and cafe.
No one welcomed us. No one told us how their system goes. So we just grabbed the menu at the counter

8/10

Master Chefs 2013 Barangay Cooking Challenge: From Barangay Cooking Idols to Talented Master Chefs

Last September 5, 2013, I was very lucky to become a part of the launching of Master Chefs 2013 Barangay Cooking Challenge at SM Hypermarket Cubao. The event was hosted by none other than Papa Dan of 97.1 Barangay LS and Monica Verallo of Unang Hirit. The Master brands and their reputable chefs Chef Paolo Sia, Chef Kris Alcedo, and, Master Chefs 2013 ambassador, Chef Hasset Go were there and showed more exciting ways of mixing up their signature products. And for a little more flavour for the crowd, games with cool prizes were played by the audience. Of course, the event would not be complete without great tasting food.

As a food enthusiast, I was really excited to see how the chefs reinvented simple ingredients to create something out of the ordinary.

The Barangay Cooking Idol introduces something new. It is a competition open not only to anyone who cook well, they should have other talents too. Those who aspire to become Master Chefs must incorporate a routine that wows the crowd. They could sing, dance, act, anything amazing is welcome. At the end of it all, Master Chefs 2013 will introduce a new breed of super chefs that are not only exemplary cooks but also talented individuals.

Master Chefs 2013 will also reinvent the Pinoy’s all-time favorites; adobo, sinigang, pochero, kare-kare, chopsuey, Caldereta, menudo, pinakbet, and in the process, discover new ways of cooking the Master Brands. Master Chefs will creatively put new twists in the food products people have learned to enjoy like Nestle All-Purpose Cream, Maggi Magic Sarap and Maggi Savor, CDO Funtastyk, Idol Cheesedog, Bibbo Hotdog, and Ulamburger, Bounty Fresh Gourmet Chicken and Nuggets, Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs, Stuffed Nuggets and Chicken Drummets, and Unilever Knorr Soups and ready mixes.

IFEX Philippines 2013

The biennial International Food Exhibition is one of the most awaited event of businessmen under the food industry. IFEX Philippines is the premier international sourcing hub for the finest ethnic Asian food, ingredients and raw materials.

Since 2004, the show has provided food and beverage companies the key venue to promote their products globally and establish and strengthen links with international buyers, importers, and retailers.

It was my first time to attend this event. At first, I thought that this event is just a simple food exhibit.

When we were at the SMX Convention Center, wherein IFEX 2013 was held, I was amazed that this exhibit occupied almost all the halls and meetting rooms of the venue. So this is really a big event!
