My First Zomato Foodie Meet Up

What is a foodie? A foodie is someone who loves to seek new food experience. I would consider myself one that because I love trying out new restaurants and their specialties. But I really hate it when I eat somewhere and regret it afterwards because they are not able to satisfy my expectations. Good thing there's Zomato!

What is Zomato?

Zomato is an online and mobile restaurant search and discovery service, providing in-depth information for over 260,000 restaurants across 13 countries. You can browse it on the internet or you can download an application which is available in all platforms. Zomato’s core content features include menus, photos, and geocoded coordinates of the hottest restaurants and hidden gems in a city. This app is perfect for people like me who love to try different kinds of food. The website and app are easy to use. You can also check some photos and read the reviews. Zomato will surely help you have the best foodie experience without sacrificing so much of your budget.

Last November 7, I was really honored to be invited in a Zomato Foodie Meet Up at Taco Bell Gateway branch in Cubao. A foodie meet up is basically meeting up with other foodies and trying out new food from that restaurant. It was my first time to attend an event organized by Zomato so I felt really excited. The event started with an introduction of the bloggers and the people behind Zomato and Taco Bell. There are also games wherein we will win GCs and Taco Bell merchandise.

We were given the chance to taste Taco Bell’s new product, the Meaty Grillers, layers of meat and other flavorful ingredients all wrapped in a tortilla and grilled.





Chili Cheese Potato Griller

It contains chili beef, jalapeno cheddar cheese sauce and potato bites. I so love this! Really! I love how the potato and cheese blend with each other and gave a salty taste that compliments the spiciness of the beef. Oh I really love this one!


Pork Steak ‘N Onion

It contains fiesta rice, pork barbecue toppings, pepper jack sauce and diced onions. In contrary with the first griller, to be honest, I do not like this one. Maybe because I really do not like onions and I find the rice weird

You can buy the new meaty grillers with crunch taco and drink at a price of P 149.00 or in an ala carte price of P 85.00. It’s heavy enough for lunch and dinner, swear!
